MEET THE PHYSICIANS

     Dr. Gill is board certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Gill has been recognized multiple times as one of America’s Top Physicians in gastroenterology by the Consumer Research Council. He has also received the Patient’s Choice Award. He has served as Chairman of INOVA Loudoun Hospital Division of Gastroenterology and Vice Chairman of Department of Medicine. He also has served on committees for the American College of Gastroenterology.

     Dr. Gill received his gastroenterology training from Medical College of Virginia/VCU Health systems. He received his medical training at Harbor Hospital/University of Maryland. He was also selected to be Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. As an undergraduate at the University of Virginia, he also had the honor of being a Lawn Resident at Thomas Jefferson’s original academic village.

     Dr. Gill has numerous research publications in scientific journals in gastroenterology, molecular biology/cancer research, and internal medicine. He has served as a consultant and on advisory boards for Hospital systems, American College of Gastroenterology and Pharmaceutical industry. He is married with two young children and enjoys time with his family.

     Dr. Desta is board certified in Gastroenterology. Dr. Desta has had numerous scientific publications in chemistry, surgical oncology, and cardiology. She serves as the Medical Director of Loudoun Endoscopy Group, LLC where she oversees clinical excellence in endoscopy.

     Dr. Desta received her gastroenterology training from Ohio State University Medical Center. She received her medical training from University of Virginia School of Medicine where she received an Academic Advancement Scholarship.

     As an undergraduate at Sweet Briar College, Dr. Desta received the James Lewis Howe Award in Chemistry. She also graduated with honors and was recognized multiple times on the Dean’s List. She also has served as an assistant Editor for multiple scientific journals.

     Dr. Delacourt is board certified in Anesthesiology. Dr. Delacourt serves as Chairman of Anesthesia committee at Loudoun Endoscopy Group, LLC. She has extensive experience in GI endoscopy and general anesthesia.

     Dr. Delacourt completed her Anesthesiology training at University of Chicago Hospitals. She completed her medical training at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

     As an undergraduate at Georgetown University, Dr. Delacourt was a John Carroll Scholarship recipient. She also was recognized as an Edward Bloustein Distinguished Scholar. She was recognized on the Dean’s List multiple times. She enjoys team sports and time with her family.

     Joel Gonzalez is a registered nurse practitioner. He has over four years of experience in gastroenterology. He graduated from Marymount University in Arlington in 2006. He has served as the clinical specialist for the pediatrics, oncology, medical surgical units at Inova Loudoun Hospital before joining our practice.

     He also manages complicated hospitalized patients duing the mornings and sees patients in the office Monday through Friday. Joel is married with three children. He enjoys spending his spare time with family.

     Gayle has over thirty years of providing anesthesia care. She is  a certified nurse anesthetist who completed her CRNA degree from Medical College of Virginia in 1976. She has extensive hospital and ambulatory anesthesia care experience.

     She has been with Loudoun Endoscopy Group since 2009. She is married to a dental surgeon, and enjoys time with her four sons.
