In order for your endoscopy to be successful, you will have to prep before your procedure. The prep will ensure that your bowel is cleansed thoroughly so that your provider can properly evaluate your colon and intestinal walls. If your provider cannot evaluate your colon properly due to poor prep, you will be asked to do a repeat colonoscopy. During your office visit, a prep will be chosen for you that is available either in the office or at a local pharmacy.
